Week 12 - Podcast all done!

So i previously mentioned in the earlier blog posts for this trimester that the main intensive over the three month period was to create a 15 minute blog about Melbourne, as a music city. My group and i "Victorias Secret" decided to focus on the best spots to go see free music. We were all super stoked with the final product, having come into this project with nobody ever having produced a podcast, i found that i really enjoyed a different sort of creative process then writing or producing music.

We Interviewed four different venue operators, who organize free gigs, and one of the guitarists for Opal Ocean(who absolutely rip, check them out on youtube) and just talked about there opinions on the Melbourne music scene, and how giving young local bands, free easy gigs to play, contributes so much to the scene. I thought it was really cool to interview these guys, seems as if everyone does it solely for the love.

Unfortunately like usual, i have forgotten to take photos of our interview setups, but they were all pretty rough. Interviewing most people in their respective venues, with lots of background noise. But in the end i thought that it contributed to the whole vibe of the Podcast.

I found this project fun and a valuable boost in experience points.
